Editing Prices

You will find that 2 Moon Press offers some of the lowest editing fees in the Publishing industry.

All of our packages come with a thorough proof reading of the book, except for the Author Advantage, as that package contains a complete continuity edit. When thinking about editing, some publishers use complicated per word fees. We do not do that, as we have a simple fee structure. The first thing to think about is what kind of editing you want. There are two types:

   * Standard line edit
   * Full Continuity edit

The difference between the two can be drastic. The Line edit will catch spelling, grammar and punctuation. This is the most common edit performed by editors, editing services and publishers. However, we also offer the Continuity edit. This is the most complete of edits. We check for sentence flow, structure, name use and even proper use of words. This edit is the edit to get if you are looking for someone to double check your story, looking also for plot issues. We charge the following for editing:

   * Line edit = $1.25 per page
   * Continuity edit = $1.75 per page

Pages are figured as follows: Your manuscript on 8.5x11 size, double spaced, using .12 point font, converted to COURIER font. This will give you a page count. Simply take the page count and multiply it by our per page editing fee. It's as simple as that.
